GETTING HERE

Vertigo Theatre can be accessed by car or transit. The Centre Street Station is located two blocks from Vertigo Theatre and provides access to both the Blue Line and Red Line.

Vertigo Theatre is located at the base of the Calgary Tower in the heart of downtown Calgary.

Parking

The Palliser Parkade

The Palliser Parkade is in the same building as Vertigo Theatre. It is a well-lit, large lot (1300 stalls) and is currently monitored by security. You can enter heading East off 9th Avenue SW into the alley between the Palliser Hotel and the Tower Centre building OR you can enter heading EAST or WEST off 10th Avenue SW (behind the Calgary Tower). The Parkade is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps and elevators on all levels.

You can pre-pay for your parking for an entire season when you purchase a season subscription package. Call the Ticket Office at 403-221-3708 for details.

PLEASE NOTE: The Palliser Parkade is independent of Vertigo Theatre. We do not control rates and/or operations of the parkade.

Other Parking Options

Street Parking

Street parking is free after 6 pm unless otherwise stated. Street parking is also free on Sundays in most downtown areas. Sometimes it is tricky to find a spot so leave yourself plenty of time if you choose this option.

We can not guarantee an illness free event. We ask that if you are not feeling well to please exchange your tickets to another performance.

HEALTH & Safety PrecautionS

  • The building’s HVAC systems are running at maximum air exchange rates. HVAC filters are at the highest end of the recommended filtration range, having a Minimum Efficiency Rating Value (MERV) of 13 or higher

  • Partitions have been installed in the Ticket Office.

  • We encourage patrons to use the print at home ticket option or have your tickets on your mobile device

  • Hand sanitizing stations have been set up throughout the lobby

  • High touch point surfaces will be cleaned regularly

  • Seating will be at 100% capacity.

Will there be printed playbills?

We will have printed playbills available. Please consider recycling your playbill at the end of the performance to give to another patron. We also offer a digital playbill that can be found in the pre-show email that is sent out before the performance, on our website or via QR codes in the lobby.


CREDITS

I have a credit from the 2019/20 season. What can they be used for?

Patrons can use their non-expiring credits towards the purchase of single tickets to any of the upcoming performances in the season or convert it into a donation to Vertigo Theatre.

OTHER FAQS

What do I do if I am not feeling well the day of my scheduled performance?

If you are experiencing illness or any COVID symptoms or have been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID symptoms, please stay home and reschedule your performance. Please call our Ticket Office BEFORE the scheduled performance at 403.221.3708 to notify us that you will not be attending. You will be able to exchange your tickets, or donate the value of your ticket to Vertigo Theatre.

Are there print at home or digital tickets?

Patrons have the option of printing tickets at home or having them on your electronic device. We encourage all patrons to take advantage of these options.

Will latecomers be admitted?

While we encourage you to try and plan to arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes before the doors open, we understand that some circumstances are beyond our control. There are a limited number of latecomer’s seats that will be available and the front of house manager will admit you into the theatre at a designated time.

IS THERE A BAR/CONCESSION?

Yes! The bar will be open pre-show and at intermission. Take advantage of our London Bar service and pre-order your drinks for intermission.

HAPPY HALF-HOUR

Beat the rush! Join us from 6:30-7:00 pm for evening performances or from 1:00-1:30 pm for matinees and get half off all wine and beer from our bar. Check out our full bar menu here

Will food and drink be allowed in the theatre?

Yes, food (with the exception of ice cream) and beverages can be consumed in the theatre, we ask that you be respectful of your fellow patrons and limit noise as well as remove any disposables when you leave the theatre. Glassware is not permitted in the theatre.

Is there coat check?

Yes! It is located on the lower level of our theatre lobby.
