Vertigo Theatre WElcomes New
Executive DIrector Breanne Harmon
Vertigo Theatre’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Breanne Harmon as its next Executive Director.
Board Chair Evan Hollohan says, “Vertigo Theatre is delighted to welcome Breanne as we approach our landmark 50th Season. We are confident she will bring the leadership, experience, and vision to guide Vertigo Theatre into its next chapter.”
Artistic Director Jack Grinhaus adds, “I’m thrilled to be working with Breanne who has already made a strong impact in the Canadian theatre community. She is a thoughtful and accomplished leader and I look forward to Vertigo Theatre continuing to grow and evolve through our partnership at this pivotal and exciting time.”
Breanne Harmon currently serves as Executive Director of Persephone Theatre in Saskatoon. She previously held leadership roles at Green Thumb Theatre in Vancouver, and spent over a decade as a professional Stage Manager. Breanne sits on the board of the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres (PACT) as Advocacy Co-Chair, and was the Region 3 Caucus and Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) Caucus Co-Chair prior. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the University of British Columbia and completed the Fine Arts Program at Langara College. She is a founding member of The Rising Tides/Open Door program, co-coordinates the National Arts Leadership Training Program, and is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
Breanne shares, “I am thrilled and honoured to join Vertigo Theatre at this defining moment. I look forward to working closely with Artistic Director Jack Grinhaus to build on Vertigo Theatre’s strong legacy and shape a vibrant future for its 50th Season and beyond.”
