Theatre does far more than just entertain – it enriches our community and provides sustenance for the mind and the soul.

Vertigo Theatre, as a not-for-profit registered charity, must raise money to support the work we produce on our stage and the community outreach programs that encourage our youth to attend live theatre as part of their education.

Vertigo Theatre has grown substantially over the past few years with the support of our patrons, members, donors, sponsors, and renters.

At Vertigo Theatre, an intricate cast of people – carpenters, designers, ushers, accountants and more - work behind the scenes to produce the moments that take your breath away. Moments in a theatre that, make you smile with recognition, shed a tear for something lost, or jump with fear.

Your generous support of Vertigo Theatre helps us:

Offer Directors Preview Performances: On the first Sunday of each of our Mystery Series productions we are able to have a $10 Directors Preview. This evening’s performance allows families of every economical background attend an evening at Vertigo Theatre.

Access For Young Audiences: As the only presenter of youth theatre in Calgary during the regular theatre season, Vertigo Theatre feels that it is important to make this series available to as many youth organizations as possible. Vertigo has a strong commitment to inviting schools to the Y Stage Series, and Mystery Series productions. Our Access for Young Audiences program also ensure that 20% of all tickets for our Y Stage Series are given to family, and social care organizations at no charge.

Keeping Ticket Prices Affordable: With government grants making up only 15% and ticket sales making 56% of the society’s annual budget, we must raise a high percentage of our annual revenues through donations and sponsorship.

Vertigo Theatre strives to create vibrant, diverse and accessible live theatre in Calgary. With your tax-deductible donation, Vertigo Theatre can continue to have a positive and lasting effect on our community.
